In 1980, Robert Maynard worked for another pest control company and did drafting work on the side. He decided to start his own company in March of 1981, Maynard Termite and Pest Control. At first, the office was located in his personal home and his wife Rita assisted with financial management. In 1983 Charles Wise joined the company as a registered technician. From this small beginning, Robert laid a strong foundation based in residential work and food safety.

Robert was licensed in all levels of pest management (Pest phase, Wood Destroying Insect phase, Fumigation phase), and built a customer base that grew by word of mouth. As the business expanded, Robert purchased the now home of Maynard Pest Management LLC at 808 1st Ave SW. Robert’s high ethical standards and customer focus has proven through the years to bring a healthy client relationship to his business. Robert’s passions and values are based in honesty, efficiency, knowledge, client focused work, can-do attitude, thoroughness, and integrity.

Robert’s personal interests are family, camping, travel, fishing, music, religion, home improvement, and aviation. Robert started the business to insure his family was taken care of, and in 1999 Robert’s son Chris started working for the business in preparation for the future of the company. In the early 2000’s Robert’s other son Jason began assisting with financial management. In 2020 Jason left his career in Music Education and joined the team full time. Robert started a successful, trustworthy, client focused business and now his sons are carrying the torch, all due to the unparalleled leadership of Maynard Pest Management’s founder.
